PLA Carbon Fiber Black ALL3DP is a black composite PLA filament for FDM/FFF 3D printers with 30% carbon fiber content. It combines the printing simplicity of PLA with increased stiffness, improved shape stability, a more technical appearance and a characteristic matte carbon-fiber-like texture.
Unlike standard PLA, PLA-CF contains carbon fiber filler. With 30% carbon fiber content, printed parts look more engineering-oriented, less like decorative plastic and more suitable for prototypes, housings, brackets, holders, technical mockups and parts where stiffness, dimensional stability and a strict black matte finish are important.
PLA Carbon Fiber is more abrasive than standard PLA. For stable long-term printing, it is recommended to use a hardened steel nozzle, stainless steel nozzle, ruby nozzle or another wear-resistant nozzle. A standard brass nozzle can wear faster when printing composite filaments with carbon fiber.

PLA Carbon Fiber Black ALL3DP is compatible with FDM/FFF 3D printers that use 1.75 mm filament. It is suitable for Anycubic Kobra, Kobra 3, Kobra 3 Combo, Kobra 2, Kobra Max, Creality Ender 3, Ender 5, CR-10, Elegoo Neptune, Prusa, Artillery, BIQU, Tronxy, Kingroon, Voron, Bambu Lab A1 / P1 / X1 and other FDM printers after calibrating temperature, speed, retraction and cooling.
For long-term PLA-CF printing, a wear-resistant nozzle is recommended. This material is not suitable for LCD/MSLA/DLP resin printers because it is a solid filament, not liquid photopolymer resin.
| Material | Key feature | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| PLA Carbon Fiber Black | PLA with 30% carbon fiber, high stiffness, matte carbon-fiber-like surface | Prototypes, housings, brackets, technical parts |
| PLA Black | Standard black PLA, easier to print and less abrasive for the nozzle | Decor, mockups, learning models, simple parts |
| PETG Carbon Fiber | Tougher PETG base with carbon fiber filler | Functional parts with higher impact load |
The carbon fiber content is 30%. This makes the material stiffer and gives it a characteristic technical carbon-fiber-like appearance. It is a PLA composite with carbon fiber filler. It is not a solid carbon fiber laminate, but it contains carbon fiber filler and provides a stiffer structure with a matte carbon-fiber-like visual effect. You can use a brass nozzle for a short test, but it is not recommended for regular printing. Carbon fiber is abrasive, so a hardened steel, stainless steel or other wear-resistant nozzle is better. Usually no. PLA Carbon Fiber is PLA-based and does not require an enclosed chamber, but stable ambient temperature without drafts can improve the quality of larger parts. PLA-CF is suitable for prototypes, housings, brackets, technical parts, holders, mockups, engineering-style decorative models and parts where stiffness and a matte professional appearance are important. How much carbon fiber does PLA Carbon Fiber Black ALL3DP contain?
